Just a quick update on how things are going. The Lord has continued to bless me and is continuing to work on my heart through the hearing and reading of his word. It’s helped me to realize the need to lay down my own will and follow Christ. One of the simplest, but earnestly continuous principles God’s word teaches us. It’s only through Christ that any of us are saved. And yes, still I find I need to catch myself at times from thinking it’s my own strength, talent, or abilities that are able to produce anything. Nay. Only the help of the Lord. And so I ask us all, that as we help each other, to follow Christ, and not what any mere man (especially a mere musician) says. Amen. So get off this blog, and open your Bible!

Just waking up from a trip to Montreal yesterday. It was a good evening and had a chance to meet a lot of the in-laws to be, God willing of course. On the way there it was raining like I’ve never seen before, and not a constant rain, it was a massive downpour for twenty minutes… then a two minute respite, and boom, another 20 minute downpour the whole two and a half hours. Ha but it was good times meeting everyone and now I’ll be taking some of the day to finalize a couple songs. Happy as ever. Praise God & I’m out.
It feels like it’s been a long time coming but God willing, I’ll be in the studio to record my first full length album titled “The Gates” in the coming weeks. The album is going to turn a lot of heads, that I know, you won’t want to miss it. But it’s not of my own strength The Lord is my Shepherd (Psalm 23), and I’m glad to be walking with him at last. Regardless of where this album ends up, either flop or flame, I could not be any more at peace than where I am now. I thank the Lord everyday for the love of my fiance, and pray that we have the strength and courage to always do what’s right and abide in his secret place (Psalm 91). Right now I’m just chillin on the couch listening to some Psalms from the word of God before kicking off my day, I’ve also got a new FiLmMoRe & P-Munnay produced beat that I’m relaxing to and I’m just glad the Lord blessed me with music. Forevermore he is good. Alright! so this long weekend was one of the most fun in a while, yesterday we got to see the Ottawa Fat Cat’s baseball club knock out the second seeded club from London in game 5 of their best of seven series… LOL I’ve gotta say the baseball fans here in Ottawa are the most rowdy bunch out of any sport, heckling, booing, cheering, you name it we did it and helped get our team to the second round. “CLEEEEEAVELAAAAAAND” … had to be there.. ha anyways have an awesome week everyone, and stay truly blessed
Been doing a lot of reading these days, mostly about conspiracy theories and secret societies and it really messes with your mind to realize how veiled the masses really are… so with that I turned to the one thing I always held as being true – the bible. And in my search for truth I’d have to say it’s far from finished should the good lord will it. Some a y’all may think i’m crazy for turnin’ to my bible in this day and age, but that’s ok I’m good with it. It helps knowing that people i don’t even know have spent the time to memorize my songs. Gassin’ myself up, I know y’all don’t need that, just sayin.
Last summer it was like i hit one of my highest achievements by spinnin on Hot… but like B.O.B’s song don’t let me fall goes, so goes my mental state, nice and chill. 2011’s gonna be a grind to get the momentum back but just know that the grindin has begun. On another note, Green and Yellow won the superbowl – and that puts a smile on my face

Alright so I gotta say that I love june 22nd’s.. for some reason, they are always good days. last year, got my first radio spin on CKCUFM with Window, big shout out to DJ Nnensa as he always spun my stuff.. it was crazy hearin my track on the radio.. so fast forward a year, some more spins on CKCU, CHUO, Shows at Algonquin college, Industry BS and beefs, The best photographer in the city and a good friend calmin me down – (Sean Sisk Photography everybody check him out) Put it in the Air getting the nod for Canadian Heat Track of the Week on the Remix Show, DJ Nasty Naz spinnin it at Sean Kingston’s Concert, an article by in the Brunswickan, and FINALLY finishing my first cd *btw it’s at HMV so go cop it haha no joke, go get it, matter fact, get two

Alright so I’ve got this killer blog tool that was setup by my good friends at SE7ENDesigns, big shout outs to them especially employee number 1…but haven’t been using it to the fullest so tonight imma start… but is anybody gonna read mah blogs? meh imma write em anywaaaaaay. First off yesterday was a huge day! I sat down with Race at Hot 89.9’s studios here in Ottawa and got the word that they will be spinning my track “OH” (ft. May-C!) if y’all don’t know May-C y’all better get to know her.. but yeah the track will be spinnin on battle of the beats later this month… after that had a brief stop at the Ottawa Sun Newspaper, and Honest Lawyer Restaurant/Bar as we’re lookin to finalize the venue for the CD release party… it’s go’n be off the heeeeezzyyy.. btw cd’s at hmv so go cop it!! Also on the go I got some new material on the way, it’s a track called “Time to Rise” Big shout out to Filmmore, a.k.a Modelboy, a.k.a Ill beat maker, a.k.a Phillip Mortimer, a.k.a the Film Maker aaight enough gassin him up haha but yeah the tracks produced by Filmmore and is up beat but you can feel the struggle of the people who’s stories make up the song… oh yeah by the way, did some maaaad interviewing for this song, really neat to have everyday people’s stories so lookin forward to wrappin that up….. aaight nba finals game 3 on the way, got some oscar mier weiners on the stove…reminds me of the bbq this weekend, some “hoddogs” and shisha.. aaah inside joke y’all inside joke…. but yeah that’s all i got for now, so i’d say im out.
